We fish the pristine waters of the Pacific Ocean , on the North West Coast of Costa Rica . We are located at Playa Ocotal 1 mile south of Playas del Coco in the province Guanacaste . This area of the “ Gold Coast ” is well known as a hot spot, for World Class Sport Fishing . This is the area where your fantasies of "Catching the big One" can come true.

The Northern Pacific Region's main attractions - is the Sport Fishing Tournaments where several World Records have been broken. Don't worry, the fish are returned to the water after weigh-in. (Catch and Release for Sport Fishing).

Our Captain “Angel” has over 35 years of safe experience on the Pacific waters COVERING THE ENTIRE COAST FROM COCO TO QUEPOS.

Our boat is a comfortable shaded 26 foot Grady White with full walk around, fighting chair and cuddy. We also have onboard toilet facilities for everyone's comfort.

With a total of 400 horsepower FROM OUR NEW 4 STROKE ENGINES , we can take you to the prime fishing spots in less time, thereby offering you more fishing and less time wasted traveling.

Costa Rica 's waters teem with many species of fish for your enjoyment. Marlin , Sailfish , Kingfish , Mahi Mahi , Snapper , Grouper , Roosterfish , Wahoo and many more species abound.

Check out “ FISH INFO ” for the season to fish for your favorite type of action and fish. It will give you the month and status from good to excellent. You will have pictures of each species of fish.

If you are a first timer, no problem, Angel and his crewmate will help you enjoy your first experience of a life time. That first catch can be exhilarating and one that you will never forget.

Simply tell us what you are looking for. Some species migrate up and down the coast and if they are not abundant in the area at the time of your charter we will help you choose the fish to make your day a success.

Our expertise is fishing, but we have so much more to offer in Costa Rica . While you are out fishing your family can enjoy the activities that we have to offer. Or we can drop them off on a secluded beach to enjoy snorkeling while you and your buddies go fishing .

They can have the tan and the exercise while you enjoy the thrill of catching that big one . Plus… you will be providing them with dinner. Not a bad way to enjoy a vacation .

The other most popular recreational activity is diving. Playa Ocotal and Playa Azul at Pez Villa offer great snorkeling and diving, because of the rocks on both sides of the cove. Important sites include the Gulf of Papagayo / Santa Catalina Islands / Murcie Lagos Island / Bat Islands / Punta Gorda / Coco Island / Monkey Head , just to name a few. Playas del Coco is located in a bay with little surf; it is highly suitable for swimming and boat anchorage. Its light colored sands stretch for almost three kilometers. Playa Ocotal is a mix sand beach with light and black volcanic sand, it is one of the prettiest beaches of the area and both beaches are Blue Flag Beach .

Playa Ocotal will offer the best opportunity to see Humpback Whales / Whale Sharks both by land and by diving. The Whale Sharks are more akin to that of a docile whale ranging in sizes from 12 to 35 feet in length and weigh 5 to 10 tons. This is absolutely a non-aggressive mammal that only eats plankton, krill and finger size schooling fish. It is really spectacular to see.

A good book can also help you learn about the country, which we recommend “ Exploring Costa Rica 2007 ”. It goes into the history, about the culture, Real Estate , shopping, churches and all the information you need about touring around Costa Rica . The other book is the lonely planet “ Costa Rica Spanish Phrasebook ”. This book will have all the foods, clothing or other shopping needs to translate. Even if you use the book to point at what you need or want to say, it is very handy and small. It also has a small two-way dictionary for basic words – such as “ Donde esta el baño ?” (Where is the bathroom?). This phrase can be very handy for you to know.
